We are excited to announce the release of an update to CAMM-1/CAMM-1 PRO cutters, including the GS-24, GX series and the latest generation GR series vinyl cutters.
All the update is about a self-maintenance kit which contains replacement blades, blade holder, a cutter protection strip and pinch rollers, plus tools to assist with the parts replacement. We want to share with you detailed directions for maintenance tips, and installation through this post and a nice video made by Roland DG, which have good instructions to improve your work.
But, how do I know my vinyl cutter needs repair?
Here are some symptoms to let you know the exact time to provide a self-maintenance before anything:
- The material is stipping off the cutting edge.
- Start and end points doesn’t match.
- Cutting accuracy is poor.
- Your cur line is becoming wavy.
- The cut line is appearing stitched.
Why my machine is having these issues?
The main reason the symptoms above is happening with your equipment may be caused by:
- Degradation of pinch rollers.
- Degradation of the cutter protection strip.
- Bearing degradation.
- Cutter blade wear.
